NEW YORK, NY, MAY 6, 2009: Braking the Cycle and Brooklyn Brewery announce “Bike Night at Brooklyn Brewery” with live entertainment and $1 draft beer on May 20th from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM at 79 N. 11th Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Live performances will include Roger Kuhn, Morry Campbell and Terry Christopher - three of the featured artists on the new “United for the Ride” CD; with a special appearance by The Manhattan Prairie Dogs!
On Wednesday, May 20th, Braking the Cycle (www.brakingthecycle.org) and The Brooklyn Brewery (www.brooklynbrewery.com) are teaming up for a night of live entertainment to benefit Braking the Cycle’s three day bicycle ride to fight AIDS. Headlining the event at the brewery will be Roger Kuhn, Morry Campbell and Terry Christopher. These three artists are featured on a new CD called “United for the Ride”, which will be available for purchase at this event.
Also appearing will be The Manhattan Prairie Dogs, the international award-winning group which can be seen regularly at the Big Apple Ranch and other venues around the country enchanting audiences with their combination of country-western and high camp, outrageous costumes and fabulous choreography.
Brooklyn Brewery has long been a sponsoring partner of Braking the Cycle. As part of this event the Brewery will be offering drink specials including one dollar draft beers. The Brewery is located at 79 N. 11th Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s easily reachable via the L train to Bedford Avenue, then 4 blocks north and 1 block west.
All proceeds from this night will benefit the Braking the Cycle AIDS ride in support of the HIV/AIDS services of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (www.gaycenter.org). The Center has been at the forefront of providing services in the fight against HIV/AIDS since 1983.
